Good evening,
To all our customers, old and new, I wanted to share a personal update about Focalpoint.
Around 12 months ago, I made the decision to close the showroom in Cheshire and continue on a smaller, online-only basis. I did this quite deliberately, as I wanted to make sure customers who had purchased recently still had support, any unforeseen issues could come to light and be dealt with properly, and that I could work through the remaining stock in the right way rather than simply shutting the door and disappearing.
Since then, Focalpoint has continued on a smaller quieter scale, but the time has now come for it to take more of a back seat.
Our main phone line will be retired at the end of March, and over the coming weeks the online store will gradually begin to wind down as the remaining stock is cleared. There are still some excellent bargains available, with savings of up to 60% off across a range of products. Most items are new, although there are also a few pre-loved pieces still available. Whether your interest is astronomy, birding, clothing or accessories, there are still some lovely items to be found. Every order will also include a small mystery gift.
I just want to reassure customers that this is not about walking away and leaving anyone in the lurch. Focalpoint has done its best to support customers properly through all our long history and this transition, and I felt it was important to allow time for that before stepping back further.
For many years, Focalpoint has been a very special part of my life. It has never just been about selling products. One of the real joys has been the people, hearing your stories, learning what you had seen, where you had travelled, and sharing in that love of nature, wildlife, birding and astronomy. Those conversations have meant a great deal to me.
My passion for nature will always remain, but life sometimes asks us to shift our focus, and for me this is one of those times. Family needs to come first now, and it feels like the right moment for Focalpoint to become something much quieter and more manageable.
Who knows what the future may bring, but for now I simply want to say thank you. Thank you for your support, your loyalty, your orders, your conversations, and your kindness over the years. It has all meant more than you may realise.
Take care, and keep enjoying nature.
Warm regards,
Yvonne
